The run from Tamiami Trail East is short: about 3.5 road miles along US 41 and 10th Avenue South to the Naples Historic District. Along the bay and the canals we look first at the lowest steel on the door, since the Hurricane Center logged high-water marks of 4 to 5 feet above ground near the Gordon River Bridge in Ian, with flooding at Naples airport. In the towers we ask the association for its work-hour and access rules before we book, and near the pier we expect hand-fitted openings, so a door is fitted to the opening and not the other way round.
